Help!
I have been given my mum's dogs to look after for a week whilst she goes to a festival. Fine, I agreed to it, we had a trial run last week and it was great and I was really looking forward to it.
Pups got dropped off today. One is in heat! Of course my dm only thought to tell me this when she dropped them off, and then she left as quickly as possible.
I am really, really bloody annoyed. Firstly, why hasn't she gotten her done- she's nearly 4! Secondly, she is a difficult dog at the best of times and walks today were really not a barrel of laughs. I don't mind looking after her in heat per say (although she really needs to be done!), but I would have liked a heads up.
Anyway. Does anyone have any advice on looking after a dog in heat? Is there anything I can do for her/any recommendations? If it's relevant we also have three cats. Thanks!
