How to stop puppy trampling flower beds?

We have a 5 month old puppy who is destroying what were beautiful flower beds by constantly trampling them. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can stop her going in please?

Ornamental fencing, take her out on lead?

At this age I have used temporary wire fencing to keep mine off for the time being. Once he is older and a bit calmer I will remove it and use training to keep him off but have chosen NOT to do this at his age because a momentary lapse in learning could cause too much damage to the plants. I'd rather avoid my disappointment and frustration with him and wait until he is a bit older (steadier) to work on this.

Thanks for your replies. We do take her out on lead but not all day. We have a big garden but she likes this particular spot. I will try temp fencing.
