Any ideas why? Garden littered with the wide variety that are passing through her system, thankfully, but the day will come when one gets stuck. Of course taking preventative measures now.

Welcome ideas why?

My dog has a thing for shoes and socks. He hasn't eaten any yet but likes to mouth them. We just keep them out of his reach now so shoes get put in a room and door closed and we no longer put socks low done in the air dyer where he can get them.

I think it's the smell they like e.g. they smell of you.

I think it's the smell of the sweat they like. I have one sock thief and one pant thief dog. They are locked out of the room when I am putting dirty laundry in the machine otherwise they steal one. Both mine just chew them up though, not swallow thankfully. My friend's dog is both a pant & sock thief.

Our husky ate a flip flop last summer. Left the toe post bit though!

My puppy has swallowed two whole socks recently and vomited them whole a few days later !

Yes! My last dog was a pant thief, so socks slightly more palatable. Our circumstances have changed and I am out of the house for longer. Wondering whether it's a sign she misses me, as head of the pack or boredom. Again taking preventative measures.
