Dog walkers

Hello all
A quick question. If you have a dog walker do they rinse your dirty dog before letting them back in house? I’m unsure of the rules. I come home almost daily to a filthy dog, I keep most doors shut but one room with a sofa is unable to be shut. The sofa is getting filthy daily as are my carpets and floors. Any advice would be great as I know washing each dog they walk would take lots of time! Hmm

My dog walkers always use to rub down/dry off my dog if he got dirty. Thought it was standard/common sense.

Maybe mention it and say 'is it ok if I leave a towel by the door just for you to dry off his feet/belly if he gets dirty'

Not a full on bath and blow dry though, just a quick rub down..

Thank you. I was wondering whether to offer a bucket of water by the door. I thought maybe I was being fussy. I’m not massively house proud but sometimes she manages to jump on the bed and rub herself down Blush

Mine gets towel dried but that still leaves him wet and muddy on some days. Tbh unless your dog is being walked individually I wouldn't expect them to do much more than that. If they are being walked individually then they could spend more of your allocated time cleaning them up.

When I was a dog walker, I always towelled them off as much as possible and shut doors to living rooms so they couldn't mess up fabric fixtures and fittings. Leave a pile of old towels and ask the, to do it, it's not a problem.

Mine will either hose down if really mucky or just towel down otherwise. Thought this was common sense? I always leave towels etc but they just use their own.
