I need some name suggestions and I was wondering what is the best female dog name you have heard?

Not a fan of things like "storm" for example, but I'm a bit of a fan of old lady type names and something cute/interesting

Did anyone else find it this hard to name your dog?
My parents dog came already named and we really weren't keen on what they'd chosen but loved it after a week and it really suits her

We had a border terrier called Holly and when we lost her, got a tiny JRT we call Tilly. It suits her.

Delighted to see Annabelle4 suggested "Maude". I acquired a collie-cross stray in Greece years ago and she looked rather old-fashioned and reminded me of a 1920s spinster (perhaps a quiet, non-posh, librarian-type), so I called her Miss Maudie. My neighbours and ex-pat friends obviously thought it was a terrible name but it did suit her.

'Maudie' works better actually, as dogs need 2 syllables really don't they (when you're calling them)

Report
mrsjoyfulprizeforraffiawork · 24/04/2018 13:48

Yes, I agree about the 2 syllables (at least 2 - I used to have a staffie called Pandemonium)

I'm possibly bringing her home on Saturday!!! I'm so excited.
I've wanted a dog of my own for over 4 years and the wait could be over in just 4 days time Shock
