Bloody hell what a night!
In bed last night with dp fast asleep. Someone rings the bell check the clock and it's 3am look outside and see a woman walking away from our house. Very odd maybe she's drunk and got the wrong house?
Then I start to worry she's ok?
Lie back down and five mins later the bell rings again so dp puts some clothes on to answer I look out of the window and she's got our staffy with her.
Omg dp Bella has some how got out! Quick quick!!
So down he goes apologies profusely she was lovely just got in and found the dog in her garden.
Off she goes.
Nest thing dps calling me-holy, holy come here
Crap somethings wrong with her I think
I go onto the landing and he says " holy it's not Bella. What? It's not bloody Bella I didn't have my lenses in so I just let it! It's a boy and grey not black what the hell do I do with it.
So we called the police, the 24 hr dog warden with no luck.
So he had to stay over dp had to sleep with him downstairs he's only a pup and very cute!
We are waiting til 9.30 and then we are going to take him for a walk and knock on a few doors with him and hopefully reunite him with his owners. We've put him on local Facebook page.
Here's a pic he's so handsome!

That's quite funny

Els1e · 15/04/2018 08:43

This is quite funny. He is very handsome and looks completely at home. What does Bella think of the unexpected guest?

TheQueenOfWands · 15/04/2018 08:45

Grin

I've just stayed a dramatic reading of your OP to my family over the breakfast table.

Ha ha unfortunately Bella would not take too kindly to a young male pup in her house so we haven't let them meet!
The dog warden I'd coming out between 10 and 11 to scan him for a chip so hopefully he can be reunited with his owner.
He is absolutely gorgeous and very friendly not been done though so has taken a shine to dps legGrinConfused

Awwww! I would love this to happen to me (preferably at like 2pm though, 3am is not for me!)

holycityzoo · 15/04/2018 09:36

Yes 3am was not fun!
Dp is the laughing stock of Facebook!

twinone · 15/04/2018 09:41

I'm loving that your dp slept with him Grin.

Hecksonaplane · 15/04/2018 09:43

Oh that is funny Grin he is lovely too! Not so funny at 3am I'd of pooped someone at the door at that time.
Hope he's chipped.

holycityzoo · 15/04/2018 09:43

Twinone I know!
He started crying so he took a duvet down and slept on the sofa with him. Except the dog had other ideas!!

OP posts:
holycityzoo · 15/04/2018 09:45

Heck I know everything crossed he's chipped. He's in very good condition and young so I would be very surprised if he isn't. Blue staffs are expensive I think.

Yay puppy reunited with his owner!
Had a tip off on Facebook as to who he might belong to. Knew the road but not the number so dp knocked on a few doors and found a very worried mummy!!
Kids are sad he's gone!!

pigsDOfly · 15/04/2018 18:44

That is funny. And your DP sounds lovely and caring.

Glad it all ended well.

Just to say, if it happens again - you are required by law to tell the Dog Warden (they occasionally let you hold onto the dog while the owner is found). Also you can check DogLost in case owner has posted them as lost or you can put them on there as found - totally free and probably the most used website dealing with lost/found/stolen dogs.

mrsjoyfulprizeforraffiawork · 16/04/2018 13:01

Sorry, I see you did tell the dog warden! (Lots of people don't know they have to do that).

Flippetydip · 16/04/2018 14:40

That's hilarious!
