Our almost 10 year old Boston Terrier has been diagnosed with Cushings, and at the moment is having tests for an associated skin condition, calcinosis cutis. He has had a very sudden decline over the past month or so, and is having accidents in the house, mobility is restricted and he’s generally not himself (unsurprisingly). We’ve started treatment and the vet told my husband because of the amount of cortisol in his system, he won’t be in pain. I’m worried about him. Can anyone share their experiences about a dog with Cushings? If so, did treatment help? Did they have a decent quality of life while living with Cushings? I just don’t know what to expect as I’ve never known of any dog with this condition. Thanks.
