I my Lab is 3yrs old and has always barked at people entering the home/neighbours/other dogs.
He has become slightly better over the years and obviously is used to a lot of the people who visit and does not bark at them anymore.
However he still barks at the Neighbours and the Neighbours dog when he sees/hears it in the Garden.
Barks at other dogs/people out on walks and at people who do not regularly visit.
I believe he is barking out of fear/nervousness as his hackles are raised.
Any advice? He is a lovely soft dog but does not come across this way with his barking.
Shouting at him to stop does not work
