Confused about worming in spain

Taking ddog to Spain this year. Got his pet passport and rabies jab. Getting him a scalibor collar. He has 3 monthly bravecto and milbemax.

Should he be wormed more regularly in Spain? I know he has to have a worm tablet before we go back to uk. We will be out in Spain approx 3 months. Just worried if I give him monthly treatments I will be overdosing him.

As far as I’m aware there’s a different strain of tapeworm in Europe. Last year our dog needed a different wormer from normal as nexgard spectra only covered him for British tapeworms! You’ll need to check with your vet

Thanks for that, have to go to the vets for his collar so will check with them.

Just a note about Sandfly (the reason you are using a Scalibor Collar, I presume). There is no effective 100% prevention for Sandfly (and it is important to take care cos it is a killer). The Scalibor will help a lot but the important thing to also do is make sure your dog is inside from a hour before sunset to an hour after sunrise. Sandfly don't come out to play in the sun.
