Does this need a vet or wait and see?

Pom dog 1 has this on his nose. Had it for a couple of weeks now.

My hippy mother put some coconut oil on it and he went mad rubbing his face off everything but Not sure if it was hurting him or he just didn't like the sensation of having something rubbed on his nose.

You have already waited a few weeks and it hasn't gone so definitely vets.

Somersetter · 01/04/2018 22:21

It looks infected. It might get better on its own or it might need treating but I can't see how coconut oil could help Confused

Coconut oil is anti fungal and anti bacterial....... allegedly. It's meant to help with skin conditions. I'd see the vet.

MuttsNutts · 01/04/2018 22:33

That looks sore. Please take him to the vet.

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 01/04/2018 22:37

It's been there a couple of weeks and you need to ask? Really? Take the poor dog to the vets.

blueskypink · 02/04/2018 11:09

Well you've done the 'wait and see' bit for a couple of weeks so yes, take him to the vet.

Vet. It looks like an abscess.
