New puppy blankets

I’ve bought a selection of different blankets today for our puppy who we bring home on monday. Stupid question but should I wash them first or are they ok as likely to go in wash very soon anyway?

If they are brand new i wouldn't worry about washing them first.

If they have been used by other dogs, I think I would give them a nice, hot wash.

Wash first as new.

See if you can take one or two to wherever pup currently is so they smell ‘right’ when pup comes home. If you can sleep with one beforehand so much the better
