Good quality tags?

Last night I noticed that the dogs tag is now quite hard to read, you have to have it in a certain light to see it properly. This is directly down to the fact that my dog enjoys rolling around on concrete and has scratched her tag very badly. She hasn’t even had it a year! Her collar is unsuitable for a slide on tag like Indigo tags, it’s not a flat collar, it’s a rolled leather one, it stands up to the concrete rubbing remarkably well!

I cant say I’ve tested them on concrete Grin but these tags are sturdier than average, really good quality and last for ages.
Just as a heads up, check you order the right size. The larger size really is quite massive.

Just saw in the website that they do a few different tags. The DeLux tags that are the strong ones

I get mine on ebay from this seller, and they are great. They are still clearly visible after several years of use and I only remember who I used as I ordered extras the other day so my fosters could have our tags as well as the rescues

I have used www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00YC7G524/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforum-21&ie=UTF8 and was really impressed by how sturdy and deeply engraved they were

I bought mine from identitag after seeing them recommended. The engravings deeper than our pet shop ones so can't be scratched with the surface. Only regret was buying large as it was huge Grin

Our last one came from Battersea Dogs Home and has lasted well for 5 years so far.

I find the plastic dog tags last the best. The engraving is less likely to wear off/away.

TirelessWanderer · 21/02/2019 08:18

our new one is great and apparently has a ten year guarantee even if he loses it (again) it came in a lovely tin too. sounds silly i know, but the tin was engraved as well and was a lovely touch tenyeartags.co.uk
