My DH's friend, who I don't really like anyway, has just announced that he is going to have puppies from his bitch, the deed is already done and she will be due in about 4 weeks. Aside from the fact that he is a twat and is blatantly doing it for the money, I'm worried about his dogs ability to give birth naturally as she is a french bulldog X !
I've read that frenchies generally have to give birth by caesarian. His dog is a Frenchie X staffie, and actually stands a bit taller than our old girl staffie, so she isn't as diminutive as a full bred Frenchie. She looks like a staffie with a Frenchie head if that makes sense, quite an athletic build.
He said he has bred her to a frenchie dog. I did ask him what he would do if she needed a caesarian, he didn't think it would be a problem - is there anything I can do? I'm worried his dog will die in labour!
