Do you brush your dog's teeth?

If you do have you got any tips? I bought some toothpaste and a toothbrush from the pet shop today. On the box it says to do it a step at a time to get the dog used to it, e.g. Start but just touching their teeth, then let them lick the toothpaste off your finger, and so on. How long do you do each step for and do you brush every night?

Thanks.

Mine loves it! We've got Logic toothpaste which comes with a gentle fingertip brush and it's improved his breath within days of using. You just gently rub round the teeth and gums, he very quickly got used to it. I also give him whole carrots to chew and he has antlers. You can also get Tropiclean which is a liquid you add to their water to treat plaque or a foam or drops that you squirt into their mouth if they don't like their teeth being cleaned.
