My dog was attacked

Another dog jumped on my dog and bit her on her leg. I’m really upset, my poor dog. We phoned the vets last night for advice and this morning we’re taking her to be seen.

I honestly think owners these days are more irresponsible than they ever have been. The owner of this dog appeared very well aware that his dog was nasty yet the dog was off the lead.

I was so shocked I didn’t know what to say or do at the time. What should I have said to him?

I think I would have been too shocked and worried about my dog to say anything coherent so don't beat yourself up about that.

I do think there are a lot of owners happy to allow their dogs to jump on and play rough with others as they heard about dog socialisation and think it means just let dogs sort themselves out

How did you get on at the vets OP?

She said it's a bad bite. £135 for antibiotics, anti-inflammatories and some antiseptic cleaning fluid. My poor dog.

I had someone kick my dog and I was too shocked to say anything .

Dog attacks are so scary hope you both make a speedy recovery and get back to enjoying your walks asap
