My dog ate a chicken bone today

Courtesy of the cat stealing it from the food caddy and then dropping it on the floor. She's swallowed it fine, no coughing or choking but it's suddenly dawned on me that there's might be an issue when it passes through. Can anyone reassure me please? DDog is perfectly fine at the moment. It's her first bone in case it's not obvious .

She'll almost certainly be fine. It's a massively overstated risk.

I hope so. Thank you. If dh was here he'd be telling me she's fine but I'm the worrier.

Thanks for all your help last night. DDog seems absolutely fine this morning. She slept all night and is toileting fine.

A few days late but I thought I'd post to say my lab did this a few months ago. He hoovered up a cooked chicken bone whilst on a walk- someone had dumped the remains of their kfc in a field .

I called our vet who said he would most likely be absolutely fine but to keep a close eye on him for a few days and take him straight in if he seemed uncomfortable.
