Name for new greyhound

Just about to get number 6, he's only young, (not yet 4), and doesn't know his name at all. So I feel fine changing it.

The others (mostly), have names associated with gemstones. Can you think of a gem / rock inspired name that fits a young black greyhound?

Awww. I love it when a dog finds their forever home and he looks so happy!

Oh he's lovely!
I once worked in a town where it felt like everyone had matching dogs, you never saw a lone lab it was always 2 minimum. My favourites were the ladies with 6 goldens and 5 daschunds apiece, nothing better than a pack of dogs.

No idea, but my family inherited an 18 month old greyhound, who had been run over, so his owner no longer wanted him. He had a tattoo in his ear that revealed that his racing name was Celtic Glory, he was brindle.
Mum asked us if we could come up with names, my sister suggested 'muffin'.
I have NEVER forgiven my mum for accepting this choice and he's been dead for a few years now.
The most annoying part was my sister had nothing to do with him, even though we were both supposed to walk him when mum was working.

Both husband and dog look pretty happy there. Bit of a bromance going on ❤️. It's so lovely to see.

Our boy absolutely adored men, wasn't fussed with woman at all.

Oooh as I definitely see a grey in my future, can I ask which rescue you got them from and whether you were happy with them?
And where do you get your dogs' coats from?
Also, what beautiful dogs.

All ours are from the greyhound trust, and they are brilliant at matching you with the right dog and advising when they are first home and settling in.
Coats are from greyt sweaters (brilliant products and great customer service), and all our collars come from Meggie Moo who makes beautiful products and is a great support for anyone with greyhound health questions.

If you want ridiculousness in greyhound names to beat Muffin... I have one, ex racer, called Bunny.

I did not pick this name but she actually knew it when we got her so we couldn't really change it easily... so I've got a bloody giraffe dog with the utterly ridiculous name of Bunny. That one's taken some explanation at school when my speech delayed DD2 is talking about Bunny in response to questions about kids pets and you have a very confused teacher trying to figure out that Bunny is not a lovely pet rabbit.

Thanks!
They don't seem to home greys with homes that have children less than 7 (I think) unfortunately. Which means a lot of years till I can speak with them!

Userxx i wish!
Every dog is different, so some will be fine with younger children, some are even cat friendly!
