Boxer bladder problem....can we do anything to help her?

We have a 9 year old boxer bitch. Completely adorable and utterly spoiled.

Over the last couple of weeks, she has started peeing on the kitchen floor. She is awake and doesn't even seem to realise she is doing it. Often it is straight after a walk, or when she's been out so it's not that she is holding it in and losing control.

Never does it on carpet, only the wooden floor and can happen multiple times in the space of ten minutes, then stop completely for days.

Is this just an age thing, or could it be a bladder infection perhaps?

Take her to the vet to rule out infection and get advice.

Sounds like an infection, definitely a vet visit.

Take her to the vet!

I'll book her in first thing...thank you.

We take her to the vets a lot due to a long term (unrelated) condition so she gets quite stressed that's all.

Sounds like it's worth getting her checked though.

Is she spayed? Spaying incontinence isn't uncommon. Drugs can help.

She had a problem before we adopted her and I believe had a full hysterectomy. Not sure if that's relevant but it was done at the same vet we still take her to so I'll mention it.
