Is a Lurcher close enough? She went for 2 weeks with our other ddog (husky). Apparently loved it, pics on fb she looked happy!! But subdued for a few days on return but assume that goes for most ddogs. Except my husky!! Didn't care we had left her tbh!!
Traitor!!

Could you get a home boarder instead? My whippet is fine at someone's house but even then she is sensitive and doesn't always eat at first. I don't think she would be at all happy in kennels but you know your dog.

My whippet goes once or twice a year for a week at a time. She doesn't particularly enjoy it I don't think. But does eat well while there.

She is a bit clingy when we come home and sleeps even more than usual but is generally fine. I like her to go purely because if she ever needed to stay overnight at the vets at least she will know we are coming back for her. She has gor better over the last couple of years and actually looked pleased to see the lady who runs it last time I dropped her off.

Last time there was a thread on this someone mentioned the Whippet Hotel, which specialises in boarding the breed. Might be worth a look?
