We have 2 dogs, both Cavaliers . One male nearly 9. Barks when the door goes or strange cat in the garden, normal , not excessive and is quiet when told. Other one nearly 4 , female and barks a lot. Barks when the door goes, someone walks past the window, postman etc. Problem is she won't stop. It's like she gets going and actually can't stop herself. Has always been a more nervous dog and I think that is the trigger. Walked twice a day, garden to run around in, not left for long periods.
Suggestions to curb the barking? To honest I am finding it exhausting and if someone comes to the door sometimes quite embarrassing.
