Does anyone have experience of using one of these for separation anxiety?

I bought one today in the hope that it does something. Also got a Thundercoat and so far he's better but not 100% relaxed. I'm frigging exhausted and can't get two minutes to myself (rescue dog adopted just before the weekend. He will NOT SLEEP!) Confused

Oh shit it's tough isn't it? I fostered a dog in October and it took a week before she settled, it got better slowly each day
Was your dog in kennels before?

How is yours now? Have you tried the plug in from Adaptil?
Mine was owned by someone but kept with a couple of other dogs in an outdoor pen. He has never been inside before.

She went to her forever home in December
She had been found on the streets having obviously been used for breeding
I think it takes them a while to get used to everything inside, patience is required which is hard when you've not had any sleep for days!!
At first she wouldn't settle at all, paced all the time but slowly each day got better

I found the plug in to be better. And leaving a few items of clothing that smell like you.

I slept next to mine to start with. If a dog has separation anxiety and you leave them then you just reinforce that anxiety.

We use the plug in. Did have a collar for the skitty hound, but the laid back hound ate it (and slept....a lot)

Let the dog sleep in your bedroom.
