I am sorry. So sad for you. Amazing how much of our hearts they steal. Flowers

BiteyShark · 27/01/2018 07:48

I saw your other thread Flowers you need to take care of yourself and give yourself space to grieve.

I can't imagine what you are going through but I do know how much my dog means to me and I dread the day I will be without him.

Fintress · 27/01/2018 07:48

So sorry for your loss Flowers

Mightybanhammer · 27/01/2018 07:57

I'm so sorry to hear this. It never rains but it pours, as they say, and there's no rhyme or reason for it, it's just shit luck.

It sounds like you and ex dh loved her very much and gave her a good life. Sometimes there's nothing more you can do for them, but it doesn't make it any easier

BuckingFrolicks2 · 27/01/2018 10:34

I'm so sorry to read this. It hurts terribly to lose a beloved dog. There are really no words that can comfort you over the internet, I wish there were. I'm terribly sorry

GertrudeCB · 27/01/2018 10:35

So sorry for your loss Flowers

londonista · 27/01/2018 10:48

I'm so sorry. Do you have anyone you can call to come over and be with you?

Mightybanhammer · 27/01/2018 19:28

A friend is here now. Started to make a strange howling sound yesterday. Can't stop crying

Feeling slightly better today -as in not completely unhinged. The vet sent a lovely card with a kind message. They did a print from his paw in the card.

Awww that's nice of the vets. Like any grief take it day by day Flowers

Mightybanhammer · 29/01/2018 18:47

I think that's right bitey. I had another huge wailing session again last night and feel calmer this morning. Such an extreme reaction. It is as if all my losses, animal and human, have balled up into one giant grief.

I'm so so sorry for your loss. I can feel your pain in how your posts are written and he would have been in no doubt as to how loved he was.

Let yourself feel whatever you need to feel.
