Dog friendly hotel recommendations?

Has anybody been to a great dog friendly hotel they’d recommend? We want to get away for a couple of nights, ideally somewhere close to nice walks.

We’re happy to go anywhere in the North or Scotland.

The joiners arms on the Northumberland coast is excellent for dogs. Five minutes walk to beach and you can walk to beadnell and then seahouses and then bamburgh if your really adventurous.

It gets booked quickly at weekends but during the week better.

We stayed at the Hilton in Aviemore that had rooms for guests with dogs. Loads of lovely walks nearby

There is a book listing all suitable accommodation/pubs for dogs 2018.
I can't remember the name though.

Beck Hall at Malham (Yorkshire) is very dog friendly and in a beautiful location.
