Grumbling

My dog, 15 months, has only growled in play. However, recently a couple of times she's made a moaning sound when stoked or dried. Do your dogs do this? First times dog owner here.

Could she be in pain? Mine only 'play' growls afterwards while running about rubbing himself on the carpet as he doesn't like the 'clean damp' smell.

I think it might be worth getting a quick check up with the vet to make sure there is nothing medically wrong.

Mine grumbles away at all sorts of stuff, it's more like a purr than a growl, but he's a breed that's known for it and it's not new behaviour.

Because it's suddenly started, yep you want to check it's not pain related.

Is it when you stroke a specific spot or cab it be anywhere?

It seems it's a moan, like "don't like that!" She's under vet atm as she's recently been spayed.
