Oh and does it include 1. Nails and 2. Teeth cleaning?

Am looking for a new groomer in new area and the prices so far seem to be much higher than I was paying before [shocked].

South and £25 but no nails or teeth and it's a quick going over with clippers for a small medium dog. I think it should be a bit more but we go every 5-6 weeks and mostly have the legs and paws done with other parts only occasionally.

East Midlands here we pay £25 but always leave a £5 tip because Eric has never liked being groomed and they have been so lovely with him that he's now happy to go. That includes nails and teeth and anal sacs Envy when needed. He goes every five or six weeks. He's a poodle cross so he is done all over or he looks like a filthy mop head.

Wales and I pay £40. That's nails, wash, cut, ears, anal glands, teeth and a blow dry!

I'm in the South East - there is a lot of variations

I have a large Labradoodle/Goldendoodle - 34kg and tall.

He has a wash and clip, ears cleaning and plucking and nails

The original salon was charging me £80.

I then went to a lady who worked from home and that was £40-50 depending on what he had done (£20/hour)

I swapped as the lady gave up due to ill health and I now go to a lady who works from a farm and charged £38.

Just had my dog done today. We are in Yorkshire and it’s £30 for Cut, style, bath, nails, ears, anal glands. Not teeth though didn’t realise groomers ever did that.

Mol1628 · 20/01/2018 11:47

Oh and I usually give a £5 tip as well since she works one to one with my dog from a home parlour and is just so lovely with her

BiteyShark · 20/01/2018 11:48

I am not sure what benefits teeth would be at a groomers. I try and brush my dogs teeth most days when I don't forget as once in 5-6 weeks isn't going to make any difference and vets have to sedate them to clean plaque off so it's a preventative clean at home nothing more.

SE , I pay £29 for a bath , clip , blow dry and they would do nails and anal sacs if needed , as it is mine doesn’t have his nails clipped because he has SLO so I only let the vet do them . It’s £10 for a bath and blow dry in between clips .
