My dog can’t stand being away from me and will even get distressed if I leave the room and she’s with my boyfriend who she’s known the whole time I’ve had her. I’m at work 3 days a week so my parents have her and she will cry/wee/poo. She was attached to her previous owner but doesn’t even like being left there now. What can I do about this? I can’t see a behaviourist helping if people she knows and likes don’t help. She’s left 45minutes a day while I do the school run and toilets/chews then and I’m getting really stressed that I can’t even go shopping without worrying! I have another dog so company isn’t a solution.

With true SA they are attached to you so having another dog around won't make a difference as you have found out.

I really would invest in a behaviourist that specialises in SA to help you as it's the same with your other dog in that she wants you irrespective of being with other people she knows. Perhaps your vet can advise on a behaviourist near you.
