Boy or Girl?

We currently have a much loved 2 year old male Cockapoo and have decided to add another Cockapoo to our family this summer.

Is there a mix that works best? Is it better to have 2 boys or 1 boy and 1 girl?

We would be looking to get a puppy.

There's no set rule as it's more dependent on personality than anything.
If your existing dog already meets loads of other dogs he may show a preference for males or females. Other than that it comes down to how well he tolerates puppies!

I asked the trainer about this as a family member who we visit regularly (and occasionally dog sits) is thinking of getting his own, but PestDog is intermittently reactive when on the lead.

As PestDog is male, she thought a female might be easier, but it didn't seem like a hard and fast rule; if your dog is usually fine with others it may be a non-issue.
