Calling all whippet owners!!

Hello all!

I've got two questions for all you lucky whippet owners out there :-)

1. Can they be left alone without drama for 3 hours a day or so? I mean one whippet by itself. (I have seen many discussions on people having troubles leaving their whippets alone and i wanted to know whether this is across the board or if people do have some positive opinions on this too?)
2. I will go to see a whippet pup on Saturday, it's the last in the litter. What should I be looking for to judge behavior and temperament etc? Is there anyway to tell from now how calm etc she will be?

Hello - we have a lovely 5 month old boy!

1. The longest he’s been left is 1.5 hours with a kong. He’s crate trained and we built it up slowly, but he’s absolutely fine being left. No drama.....he just sleeps and is usually still asleep when we get home
2. We found an amazing breeder who chose our puppy for us (after lots of discussions about lifestyle etc.) But he was always quite.....lively and often the first puppy to investigate. He’s still very lively, but also very confident and I do wonder if this is why he’s fine being left for short periods.

He's lovely! thanks for sharing your experience, my main worry is the the leaving alone part, so it's good to hear something positive on this!
