Help please! Anyone have experience of Buprecare with dogs?

I' m looking after an elderly relative's old dog. I took him to the vet as he has painful arthritis, and he was given a Buprecare injection. This evening his breathing is very fast, which I think is connected to the injection, and I'm not sure what to do.

Could you phone who ever does your vets out of hours care for advice?

Thanks for replying, I thought of ringing the vet as I posted. Apparently it's not uncommon, but we'll keep an eye on him anyway.

I hope the dog improved after your post

I have experience with a cat having it. Apparently it's a human drug more powerful than morphine. The cat became unresponsive and eventually died.
