Would you recommend buying one instead of using the hard plastic Vet one?

Dog is very lively year old lab. I'd like him to be more comfortable- he had an operation on his leg after he got cut by broken glass. The hard plastic one cracked but also looked uncomfortable and he kept trying to pull it off.

The most important thing is that his wound is safe though.

I'm putting some pics up to show diff types. Brand names are redacted.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you

My mums dog is also a huge chewer and the blow up collar , if properly fitted stops them being able to get at the wound or the collar but they can still walk without bashing in to things , drink and eat .

Yes, yes, yes most definitely buy one of the softer ones. Our crazy working cocker has recently had an op on his tail and it didn’t heal so he needed a come for over s month. I was sick of bruises on my shins and paint being knocked off door frames. The soft ones are the dogs bollocks (sorry I had to add that one in!!).

A onesie for dogs is much better. The Suitical (used to be called Medical Pet Shirt) mentioned already is perfect and can be kept in their cupboard for any future needs too. It is breathable so you pop it on and all will be well. No need to keep letting things air, like the old days, lol. It helps with post anaesthetic recovery too :-) www.dfordog.co.uk/medical-pet-shirts.html Our Zena wore one for 5 days after her spay and it was perfect. Just remember to undo it for them to wee. We had one accident Wink
