I have a rescue mongrel. Officially she came to us as a border collie cross and is about 5 or 6 years old now.

She has always been very attached to me but was happy to be walked by and trained by other members of the family however recently she's pretty much decided they don't matter or exist and won't do as she's told by anyone unless it's me telling her to do it! She even has this annoying habit of, say DH asks her to sit, looking over at me, walking over to me and sitting in front of me expecting a reward. If I'm around she will do what she's been asked to do but for me.

It's funny but also a bloody nightmare at the same time!

Any tips on managing this?

Who's doing the majority of the care e.g. feeding, walking, throwing balls? If it's all you, I'd start spreading the work around a bit so she realises that you're not the only provider of nice things

This is the thing. My dc do most of the walks, husband feeds her and I just tend to walk her when I'm well enough, play with her daily and frequently offer and provide cuddles (as do the others tbh).

She is just being clever. You reward her more than the person asking for a behaviour. Tell them to up their game and she will work for them to.
