Dog food in non-plastic packaging

Happy New Year all.

We're rying to use less plastic in our lives. The dog food we have is in a big plastic bag. Does anyone know of 15kg bags of food that are thick paper bags rather than plastic?

Thanks

Arden grange is a paper bag, James wellbeloved is still a paper bag, those are the first ones of the top of my head. However, paper bags do not store the food as well long term.

Sorry no just remembered Arden grange changed a little while ago.

Lily’s Kitchen is a paper bag. James Welbeloved I thought was plastic but I’ve only bought the smaller size cat food from them recently.

I think WAGG comes in bulk quantity paper bags.

Burgess sensitive is paper

Perfect, thanks all. I'll have a look.

As keen as I am on reducing plastic consumption, I would prioritise nutrition and sustainable ingredient sourcing over packaging. Wagg, for instance is shocking nutritionally, even if the packaging is paper.

All About Dog Food is a good way to identify nutritionally sound (and shocking) dog foods. I haven't looked into it in too much detail, but I seem to remember that Beco has a reasonable ingredients list and compostable packaging

Burns comes in a paper sack.

rightsaid yes, I take your point totally.

thanks for that website, I will have a look, that should be really useful.

Agreed I wouldn’t feed Wagg.

Didn’t know Beco did food - they do some lovely sustainable chew bones (made from rice husk rubber) and biodegradable poo bags.
