Or both?
My new puppy is due to come to us mid January. I was going to crate train her and have her bed inside it.
However, she has been living in the breeders house with mum and siblings in a playpen. They all sleep in a big bed in the playpen and the breeder has trained them to successfully toilet outside the bed but in the playpen for now.
If I put a puppy bed igloo thing in a playpen will the puppy feel safe to sleep in there overnight etc? Should I then progress to a crate? Or use both? I can't work out the layout in my head. The playpen appeals as this is what she will be used to. The most important thing for me is the puppy to feel safe and be safe.
