How can I help my friend?

My friends dog passed away a couple of days ago. She was very poorly and it was expected, but it was still a huge shock.
Any one have any ideas how I can help her & her family to get through their loss?
I've seen her a couple of times and she just looks so sad 😢 She knows I'm here for her, but I don't know what else to do. I just want to make it all better for her.

I think that really is all you can do for her. There's no simple fix.
Time and being surrounded by love - that's the only real aid to grief over anything.
I lost one of mine recently. He was elderly and i'd braced myself for it happening but I've still found it absolutely devastating but I also know that those who don't have animals don't really understand the pain I feel at losing him.

You are doing it. You are there for her.

Ok, I'll just keep checking in with her to make sure she's ok. Her DC are very upset too. I haven't lost a pet for years, but I know I'll be devastated when it happens again. It's the expecting to see them in the morning or when you come home etc then realising they're not here anymore is really tough ☹️
