Getting second hand baby toys from a home with dogs?

Hi all

Just wondering if it is safe to buy baby toys from a home with dogs where the dogs have been licking the baby toys?

I am assuming that it is absolutely fine and that some anti bacterial wipes to clean to battery operated toys (can't wash them) would be sufficient? X

Of course it's fine. Why wouldn;t it be?

Yes of course it is.

My toddler ate cat litter yesterday.

Why wouldn’t it be? Confused

Most dogs wouldn't bother licking baby toys- they'd either ignore them or totally destroy them at which point they wouldn't be sold secondhand
Toys from my house full of dogs IMO would be a lot safer than the ones you find kicking around doctors' waiting rooms, restaurants etc

When I was a small child I was frequently licked directly by the dogs and there certainly wasn't an obsession with anti bacterial anything

I rarely got sick as a child and to this day I rarely pick up the bugs that go around. Kids need dirt and germs to build up their immunity
