Chewing paws

Hi our 9 year old Doberman has cut her paw and then chewed the injury resulting in multiple vet visits and having to wear an enormous cone of shame to stop her nibbling the dressing or wound. We are worried how to stop her nibbling at her cuts? Any thoughts welcome.

Ddog had a bad cut on his paw and we got a boot for him to wear which he tolerated very well. It was sort of canvas with Velcro fastenings. I think it was like this one

What about plaster spray. Suppose anything is worth a go.

Oh no the cone of shame! Just watch her and maybe put a sock on it. Has she got things to distract her? Toys and treats? Must be irritating her poor pooch x

I meant plaster spray for humans but I've just googled and they do it for dogs too - miracle care bandage spray; it's on amazon, It says it discourages chewing, No idea if it's any good but might be worth trying.
