Clippers advice!

Do you have a long haired dog? Do you clip yourself? Is it a massive ball ache? Which brand of clippers?

Ddog is a cocker spaniel. The groomers we go to are brilliant but I struggle to get an appointment and then I have to block out the time plus he hates it and gets very stressed. I can bath him at home no problem it’s just the trimming. He looks like this and he’s very overdue for a hair cut and looks like a yeti. I have ordered the equafleece to minimise the mud saturation but thinking that if the clipping is manageable it would be a lot less stressful for him.

A college near us does grooming courses. Worth a try? I would worry about hurting my dog (because I'm a clumsy oaf!)

I taught myself to clip horses before the days of youtube so I would think a dog is a piece of cake! Plus it doesn't matter if the clip is uneven if its your dog!
