More than insurance?

Anyone have any experience with more than pet insurance? It's time to renew and they seem fairly reasonable. Always been with petplan for the cat and they've never questioned a claim but they're a bit pricey for two dogs so shopping around a bit. Thanks all 😊

I've no experience of them but they do run what they call a "preferred vet referral network" which is a list of specialists they will pay directly however if you want to use a specialist that isn't on the list you may need to pay an extra £200 on top of the normal excess.

They've got a list of all the vets currently making up the network here, it's worth checking what the coverage in your area is like.

I have More than insurance for my dog.
I've been lucky that I've not had to actually use it yet, but DM did about 18 months ago when her dog was very poorly.
They were fantastic and made everything very easy by communicating directly with the vets on DM's behalf in terms of payments etc. She swears they made a very stressful situation much easier to cope with because she didn't have to worry one bit about costs and affordability or surgery and consultations.

As with all insurances though, watch for the creep up year after year. I was quoted £41 for renewal last month when I could get it for £22 as a new customer, when I spoke to them and explained this the woman told me to cancel existing and take up a new policy with them as a new customer to get cheaper price.
Obviously I wouldn't have been able to do this if my dog had previously been ill, because then he'd not be covered for any related illnesses in the future.
