Found this very friendly dog on the way to collect our pizza this evening! Nearly ran her over! Stopped immediately opened the door and in she hopped! Took her to the vet and had her scanned. Owner located and “Dolly” safely delivered home! Love a happy ending! Now off to polish my halo Halo and eat my pizza!

Oh bless her. Well done you! Goodness knows what would have happened to her had you not stopped. I bet her owners are so pleased to have her home safe and well.

The owners must be so glad you found her. You did a really good thing.

I found a staffie one day. Unfortunately it was our house moving day and I stopped the car to take it to the vets for scanning etc. Dh went on ahead with a full van load of our stuff. . .
And I had the new house key.
Boy was I unpopular.
Doggy was home safe and sound soon after though!

She's beautiful, glad she was chipped and you got her home.

I'm amazed you found a vets open on a Sunday, cute dog though.

KinkyAfro · 02/10/2017 12:58

My vets is open until 6 on a Sunday Smile Well done OP

BLUEsNewSpringWatch · 02/10/2017 15:05

indeed firstly the op found the dog on Friday. Secondly of course there are are vets open on Sundays anyway - although in an evening it may only be an out of hours team at veterinary hospital - dependent on where you live.

We just literally got her to the pets at home before they were closing. They lovely vet stayed on later than she normally would to get the dogs details off the database and called the owner. She was such a friendly dog too! Grew up with Staffies so i wasn’t breed shy about her but was so shocked that she immediately hopped into the car next to my 6 year old son! She just sat in the seat next to him looking around expectantly waiting for take off! Was so funny.

Lovely dog!
I've found a three lost dogs over past few months, and none of them had ID - I managed to locate one owner myself and was told the tag must've fallen off and have heard the same from others.
This dog looks well cared for and wearing a collar so am assuming contact ID was on a dangly thing and fell off.
Seems pointless to have ID that can detach from collar, Indigo tags or similar are much more secure.
