My gorgeous rescue lab has a hard lump the size of a tennis ball on her throat. It literally appeared overnight. We noticed it yesterday. She had her annual check up last week and was given a clean bill of health.
Took her straight to the vet, who has done a biopsy and now we have to wait a week for the results.
Ddog 1 died of cancer last year, aged 6. He was fine one minute, collapsed the next. My brain is screaming tumour. I'm guessing the vet would have known if it was an abscess.
I'm struggling with anxiety anyway. She's fine in herself, although struggled to eat her kibble so she's on wet food at the moment.
Just looking for a hand hold really. I know there's nothing to be done until the results come back.
