I've got fleas but dog hasn't 😭

I've got multiple bites on my left arm and leg and saw 1 measly flea yesterday. I guess if there is one there will be more.
Checked the dog and he is clear. He had his monthly advocate treatment on 30th August and had never had fleas so I don't know where they have come from.

Plan is to hoover every day until we are clear and spray some flea killer on the sofa, carpet and curtains. Wash all of the bedding and throw out the deep pile rug as its minging and impossible to clean.

Do I need to do anything else?

Do you have a cat? I think cat fleas bite humans but dog fleas don't. So if you have a cat or have been cuddling somebody else's cat, it may need de-fleaing!

Get a can of Indorex. You can get it from amazon or from vets.
1 can will usually do your entire house depending on how big your house is ofc.
Works very well.

No cats as I'm very allergic to them. The only other thing would be if DS has been in contact with a cat and brought a flea in.
DS never gets bitten but I get bitten by everything. The flea was on me yesterday but I wasn't quick enough to catch it.

I think you want the fleas to jump on the dog so the advocate kills them

Dog and cat fleas live happily on anything and both bite humans...

Doesn't help you get rid of them, but you don't need to go looking for a cat somewhere to treat, lol

Advocate takes a few hours to kill fleas so you will see live ones they just don't get a chance to lay eggs and become an infestation. They bite multiple times little bastards

That's great news about the advocate. Hopefully they will find the dog, he's not hard to miss he just lays on the sofa all day
I'm knackered from washing and hoovering today. I just wish I knew where they have come from but the main thing is that they die asap.
