Aw beautiful. I used to have a rottweiler, he was the most affectionate dog ever.
What's his name?

SlaveToDisney · 02/09/2017 18:41

Islacornx Thankyou 😁 although I may have underestimated how much they poo!

user1471453601 · 02/09/2017 18:47

How do you stop cuddling that? Well, never. And if you ever do, I'll take over. Adorable

SlaveToDisney · 02/09/2017 18:47

Wolfiefan I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks that way. Grin I'm not really getting a choice in cuddling him at the moment anyway.

You'll damage him forever if he doesn't have cuddles. Grin

pigsDOfly · 02/09/2017 18:50

Looks like you're doomed to a life of cuddles OP.

DD's DP has a Rottie, he's an old chap now, is and always has been a gentle giant; not a nasty bone in his body.

SlaveToDisney · 02/09/2017 18:53

pigsDOfly well at least it's an excuse not to do the housework.

Rottweilers really are a big cuddly teddy bears I honestly think they are so loveable and I have never met a nasty one. I hate the bad press they get and the bad owners that give them that name.

When I went to pick ddog up from doggie daycare I was jumped on by a litter of 8 Rotty puppies and thoroughly nibbled - I've decided it's how I want to die one day!!
He's lovely, cuddle him now before he gets too big to get on your knee

pigsDOfly · 03/09/2017 10:13

He'll never be too big Hopping, love will find a way.

Hoppinggreen · 03/09/2017 10:16

I know, my Goldie still clambers on!!!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 03/09/2017 10:21

You give him to me OP, and I'll cuddle him for you Grin

What a sweetie

Boatmistress17 · 03/09/2017 10:23

Mine has a play house for when friends come over!! When yours is big enough to call round. . .

Any advice on how I stop cuddling this?
SlaveToDisney · 03/09/2017 13:09

Boatmistress17 that is adorable!

Hoppinggreen I couldn't actually think of a better way to die!

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown would you be able to take him temporarily from 2am-7am? Wink I will be prompt at drop off and pick up.

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown · 03/09/2017 13:29

@SlaveToDisney that will not be an issue! I'm 29 weeks pregnant and struggling to sleep at the moment, so a late night cuddle buddy is exactly what I need to get some practice in for a newborn.
DDog (4) is far too lazy to leave her basket in the middle of the night so currently I have to resort to sitting on the sofa all alone

LEMtheoriginal · 03/09/2017 13:32

Well you need to stop soon before he grows and expects cuddles all day long and squashes you flat Grin always a special place in my heart for rotties

Copperspot · 03/09/2017 13:35

I am so jealous of your gorgeous pup! Envy

I love rotties, i think it's the eyebrows Grin

All our family dogs are snuggle bugs, lovely as a pup, not as lovely when a full grown labrador flops its whole body weight on you! But i wouldn't have them any other way, no such thing as too much love.

SlaveToDisney · 03/09/2017 16:03

NiceCuppaTeaAndASitDown oh I feel for you, I remember that so well it's horrendous in all honesty I think you sleep better with a new born than being pregnant with them wriggling around and kicking your here there and everywhere.

LEMeverything I know. I'm not sure my sofa is big enough for me and a fully grown rottweiler to sit on. (It's also so old not sure it could take the weight)

Copperspot I also love rottweiler so much they just have something about them. I too love Labradors and my last 2 dogs were a rottie and a labrador. We got the lab when rottie was a year old they got on like a house on fire.
