Puppy growing up

My gorgeous bouncy hooligan of a Labrador, one year old, followed DH around doing the hoovering this morning and didn't try constantly to eat the wire.

He has also, on the rare occasion he's allowed to sleep in our bed overnight, stopped waking up at half-five and now snoozes until at least seven.

He hasn't tried to eat my new slippers. He doesn't try to go upstairs unless he's invited. I can't remember the last time he stole the remote.

When he was tiny I longed for this but now I feel strangely sad!! My baby 😩

Aw! I've always been avoidant of getting puppies for the effort and destruction and because of all the gorgeous adults out there looking for a home... But... how wonderful to be able to watch a lovely pup grow up. The bond you must have as a result is something I envy.

Ddog went to his bed all by himself last night and I didn't have to bribe him with biscuits. Aw I thought he is really getting there.

But then he ran off down the road soon after and claimed to not understand English when I said it was time to come inside, so still some growing up to do...

Grin onemore I was just thinking he'll probably make off with someone's picnic basket on our walk later now I've made this post!

dud I never thought I would end up with a dog, never mind a puppy, but fate would have it otherwise! He's always been a lovely lad but now the nipping and chewing and lunacy is starting to subside I can see the grown-up dog emerging.

However we come by them they really do bring a lot of love into the home!

My ddog cocked his leg for the first time the same day DD started secondary school
I cried because it felt like everyone was just growing up too fast!!
Don't miss those needle teeth baby teeth and the stealth attacks though ( Ddog rather than DD)

Ooh Hopping the needle teeth!

DPup has never cocked his leg and apparently neither have any of his litter mates. Too lazy Grin I think I'd cry if he started!
