Hi

Still looking for the ultimate food for Flipdog (greyhound). Has anyone used Tails.com who apparently do a "tailor-made" food for dogs? It works out at £34 per month with a trial for £1 of 2 week's worth.

Just wondered if anyone had any views, good, bad or otherwise.

Thanks

I looked at it but got the impression it was just clever marketing and that the quality wasn't anything special, along with very little differences amongst the foods they mix.

Yes that was rather my view Blue. I guess we'll probably stick with what we've got for the time being.

We are using it for now. Dpuppy seems to prefer it to Arden Grange but it is mostly clever marketing. Basically they have a few different pellets and they can mixed, depending on proportions to supposedly meet your dogs needs. I am thinking of trying something else when we have finished the sack...

Trial for £1 was good though

We've been using it for over a year. Good to have it delivered and the bag lasts a month, our cocker spaniel had been happily munching in it for a year and seems happy enough, he has steadily gained weight (he's 15 months) and is healthy. The last week or so he has started skipping meals Confused were starting to think maybe we should switch to a new brand - maybe he's bored?! Or is that just indulging him!

It costs us £16 per month.

I always fed my greyhound Burns, the Alert lamb one. The only thing that didn't upset her guts. Tried all the high percentage meat ones and they just went through her. I get my dog food delivered from Fetch.com which is an offshoot of Waitrose. Prices are reasonable plus you get to choose delivery slot which is free if you spend 30 quid

We use Tails and love it. Our dog's fur has improved massively. SIL is a vet and has approved it too.

So much easier getting it delivered rather than traipsing to animal feed shop and lugging huge bags home, too.

I'm under no illusion that there are better quality foods available, but it works well for us.

Thanks all, appreciate the different views.

Iweve been using it for a few years now since they not long started, it was quite reasonable initially but it's gradually been getting more and more expensive. We cancelled our order last month as we can get good food cheaper elsewhere now, it is convenient to have it delivered though!

My recommendation from tails is £34.03 for 31 days of 394kg a day.

His current food Millie's wolfheart is £52 for 14.5kg which lasts 80 days at 190g a day.

Sounds like tails is expensive and full of fillers (and will mean huge poos!)
