Old pillows?

Hello all. Do dogs shelters accept donations of old pillows for bedding? They are non-feather ones. Maybe I should ring to find out?

I don't think pillows would be useful tbh - I foster for a rescue, and we are always in need of duvets, sheets and blankets as for many dogs we can't reuse them due to infection control. Or they get binned after a poonami.

Plenty do in my area.

I think cat shelters can use them. Dogs are fairly likely to rip up pillows unfortunately.

I volunteer at a rescue and unfortunately it cannot accept pillows, duvets etc. The reason it cannot accept them is because they're not easy to clean or to dispose of once they reach the end of their useful life.

Some may accept them though (provided they've got the correct washing and disposal facilities in place) - absolutely worth having a ring round! Smile
