I'm new to dog ownership and getting used to a walking routine , mud and everything else ! I love my little fella and he is definitely keeping me fit !
Please give me all your top dog owning tips , anything at all and recommendations for things you have bought and loved etc

A clicker for clicker training. Once your dog understands how it works it makes training so much easier.

Never too early or too late to teach them new tricks and commands.
Leave it and recall must be mastered as they're life savers.
Don't let them go up to on lead dogs without asking, always recall and keep close.
Any unwanted behaviours should be corrected straight away.
Think carefully before allowing your dog to sleep in your bed.
Sounds good but could mean interrupted sleep for you and lack of space.
Lots of perseverance when obedience training and always step in when they misbehave.
They are like naughty kids, you have to be one step ahead.
