Dog walking

Am I the only one that sometimes gets bored walking my dog on my own? Sometimes I wish my dog had doggy friends we could walk with.... shame I live in a very quiet village and don't actually know anyone here

I love it but I also have opportunities to walk them with my partner. I would struggle to do this but could you link up with other walkers?

I'm not sure how I'd do that, I've seen people with dogs in the garden etc but not actually seen anyone walk a dog near me if I'm honest. I was thinking about maybe just putting earphones in and listening to some music as I'm walking him. Maybe just one earphone so I can still hear him / cars etc. It's not the fact I get bored of walking with my dog it's more like I'd find it more enjoyable if we was walking with other people / dog walkers

I wear earphones if doing a long walk. Are there no popular places for dog walking near you? Dog walkers love a chat

I hear you, I live in a village too and two of my close dog walking friends have moved away. I used to love meeting up with them in the park. I know a few other dog walkers to walk round with but they're mainly men and it's not the same as having a good female friend to chat with.
If I venture out to a bigger country park you get big groups of dog walkers with 10-15 dogs between them which my dogs sometimes find intimidating so I tend to just do longer lead walks through the woods and on the streets to make the view more exciting for myself!

I rarely do pavement walks with others and I never arrange to meet people but I've met a few on our local Heath and we walk there together a couple of times a week . In my case it's finding people that have dogs that my dog will tolerate in that they have to be willing to leave him alone whilst he plays ball as he won't share his ball and won't run if other dogs run with him .
