Dog shit RAGE

TronaldDump · 09/08/2017 12:59

Just got back from our lunchtime walk absolutely furious after seeing a young guy with a big black lab watch his dog take a shit in the middle of the kids' football pitch and totally ignore it. I shouted over to offer him a poo bag to which he mumbled 'got one' then turned his back and ignored me. Fucking shitbag. I'd have pursued it further but he was about twice my size and quite honestly I was intimidated. Which must be why he thinks he can get away with being such an utter shit.

FFS, I always assumed that people who left dog shit were at least furtive and sly, not just brazen wankers. Gives all the rest of us a bad name too.

I don't know why we don't clamp down properly on this. It's the highest volume complaint to the councils.

Whole fucking parks are ruined. I squashed a slide and swing into my garden as taking the kids to the park when they were little was a filthy experience.

TronaldDump · 09/08/2017 13:08

I wonder what the council could do? Unless they send out dog shit wardens? I agree it's horrible though. I wish I'd been braver to go over and give him a piece of my mind now.

I bumped into my neighbour who saw him too and knows his mum (he must be early 20s), she said she might have a word. Hope she reads him the riot act!

I once watched a guy let his dog take a shit at the side of a kids football pitch while the kids were actually playing a game! His kid was playing too.

Several folk complained, pointed it out, he just shrugged his shoulders and said he hadn't seen his dog do it so we couldn't prove it. I was bloody livid.

This guy is a local policeman!

BocaDeTrucha · 09/08/2017 23:16

Makes my blood boil too. My neighbor lets his massive dog leave massive shits all over the empty flower bed at the end of our terrace. I hate it but at the same time hate that I'm too intimidated to say anything to him. I'm tempted to pick it up one day and fling it over his fence into his front garden during the night and keep doing it til he stops (but I don't think I've got the balls for that either!!!!)

Cockerpoodledoo · 09/08/2017 23:40

Boca I had a similar problem with a previous neighbour. There was a patch of land at the side of the house that I owned. Dirty Bastard up the street let his dog use it as a toilet and never cleaned up after the dog. Every day, for months, I would go out in the morning to a fresh turd. Come December, I'd had enough. I bagged them up every day and on Christmas Eve I tied a bow round each of the 24 bags and hung them off the tree in his front garden.

Wolfiefan · 09/08/2017 23:43

Cocker that's gross but awesome!
I can't understand anyone who has a dog and doesn't pick up. It's part of owning a dog. I don't want to walk through dog shit and trail it through my house or get it in my car.

TronaldDump · 10/08/2017 05:59

Cocker That's made me laugh! Did you see how he reacted? My 4 year old knows that you have to pick up and bin poo and that people who don't are naughty. There's just no excuse. Some other dirty bastard has twice bagged up a huge turd and left it on my garden wall. Maybe they think the magic poo fairy will take it away? (And I guess I do).

There's a big clamp down on this in our area, official advice is to take a photo of owner and/or dog and send to dog warden.
Only if safe to do so of course, I've done it a couple of times without the dog owner noticing.

TronaldDump · 10/08/2017 09:28

I did actually take a sneaky photo - how would I find out who the local dog warden is though?

pigsDOfly · 10/08/2017 10:14

I was going to suggest that if your neighbour knows his mum OP you report him to the local dog warden. It's an offence, subject to a fine, apart from being disgusting.

The details of your local dog warden will be on your council's website.

WhichJob · 10/08/2017 10:23

I just do NOT understand this. If you don't want to clear up dog poo, like I don't, then don't get a fucking dog! Every community is blighted by it, there is a lovely running route near us that is unuseable because of he sheer number of dog turds along it, it is disgusting.

We also had a side garden that our neighbour's would let their dog use - DH used to go and ring for them to clear it up every time until he exploded one day when he was mowing the lawn and one scattered everywhere. Fucking selfish behaviour.

PicardsCombOver · 10/08/2017 10:24

I hope you report him op it's vile is so many ways Envy (Not envy) I watched someone let their dog have a poo on my doorstep, we live in a terraced street - I stood there and said nothing and they walked off merrily on their way Blush

Flippetydip · 10/08/2017 10:55

It drives me insane! It's disgusting and gives responsible dog owners a bad name. It's also people that wander along completely unaware with their dogs off-lead. I shouted over to one lady once whose dog was miles behind her and told her dog was poohing. She thanked me and said she was miles away. Yes, exactly -don't be miles away - be more bloody aware!!

Cockerpoodledoo · 10/08/2017 12:48

Tronald sadly I missed the big reveal because I went away for Christmas - probably wouldn't have had the baubles balls to do it otherwise!

I didn't have anymore "decorations" on my lawn after that but I have often wondered if I am unwittingly responsible for starting the trend of leaving bagged dog poos in trees all over the countryside. WTAF is wrong with people!!! Angry

You should be able to find your local dog warden here

TheEmojiMovieLooksShite · 10/08/2017 13:58

I always shout over that they need to pick it up. If they don't, I take pictures of the owner (or at least pretend to) and tell them I'm reporting them to the police.

A friend of mine actually pretends she's a police officer Shock

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 10/08/2017 14:34

That's a good idea about taking pictures. They do give the rest of us a bad name.

Welldoneme · 10/08/2017 18:27

A friend of mine had a scummy neighbour who let their dog crap on the street so she got an old dustpan , scooped it up and flung it at their front door every time it crapped . Lol

fairgame84 · 10/08/2017 18:30

We've got a lot of people with small dogs round here. They let them shit everywhere. I think they think it doesn't matter because the shits are small but it's gross. I always pick up after my dog. He only shits once per day so it's the size of a small mountain but I'm still there with my 2 poo bags!

BLUEsNewSpringWatch · 10/08/2017 18:39

2 poo bagsShock that's huge!!!

Wolfiefan · 10/08/2017 18:42

Somebody asked me if I use bin bags for big girl the other day! Grin

W3lsh · 10/08/2017 18:48

Obviously everybody should pick up after there dog. It's common decency. It's bad enough having dog poo around, even worse if you accidentally step in it. I don't think it gives all dog owners a bad name though.

fairgame84 · 10/08/2017 18:51

2 poo bagsshock that's huge!!!

Yes, he's a big dog. Thank fuck it's always solid!

demirose87 · 10/08/2017 18:54

My DP is an environment enforcement officer for this kind of thing, dog shit, litter, ciggie butts. They get an on the spot fine of £80 if caught by one of them.

Rollonbedtime7pm · 10/08/2017 19:44

Download the Love Clean Streets app - you can take a photo of the poo and the app logs the location and sends it to your council. They then in theory come and clean it up!

But also deffo photo the twats in action too!

MidLifeCrisis2017 · 10/08/2017 19:49

I'm in France at the moment - it's even worse. I can't walk on the path behind my camper because there's piles of it. Even worse, I saw a man coming out of a bush by a play park clutching a loo roll!
