Getting puppy used to harness

10 week old pup is very happy in a collar but I need him to wear a harness in the car. So I've just put it on him and he's gone a bit nuts trying to get it off b it's definitely not too tight.

How do I get him used to it? Just leave it on or short bursts every now and then? Or do some dogs just not like the things!

Maybe it's uncomfortable for him - can you try another style (eg padded if this one isn't)? Otherwise I would say don't distress him by keeping it on unnecessarily but try putting it on for one minute, giving treats and praise, then taking it straight off. Then try slowly increasing the time until he feels more comfortable.

I don't know if it's uncomfortable as he didn't give it a chance. I tried again using treats and he ran off with the kids to play no problem. It stayed on 15 mins. He's since given me the cold shoulder though!
