DD was hand feeding the dog chicken and dog managed to break the skin on DD's knuckle. Cleaned immediately, germolene applied, then TCP. This was earlier this evening. No swelling, itching or pain.

Do I need to take her to the GP?

I doubt it, if it's clean and there's no pain or swelling why would you need to? I'm sure it will heal in a few days just as any scratch would.

Thanks, she's a little anxious because is a DH is fucking clean freak

I'll just keep an eye on it.

It sounds like just a graze. You've done the right thing in terms of first aid and it should heal up fine on its own. Dogs do tend to get a bit over excited when being fed tasty morsels don't they?

AdoraBell · 04/08/2017 11:13

Oh yes, especially when they've waited patiently by the BBQ Grin

DD 46 was giving each of her small dogs a piece of meat and first dog decided to snatch second dog's piece from her hand and in doing so bit her hand. Loud scream of pain and shock.
All morsels get put in a bowl or on the floor now. No hand feeding!
